The MRC Discovery Medicine North (DiMeN) Doctoral Training Partnership is offering up to 42 fully funded studentships across a range of biomedical disciplines. These start between late September and early October 2025, depending on the host institution.

These four-year studentships are open to both home and overseas fee status applicants. Stipend is provided at the UKRI standard rate and fees are covered for all students. We also offer a range of iCASE projects which pair you with an industrial partner and include an industrial placement, enhanced stipend, and increased research budget.

Key Dates: Applications open w/c 28th October 2024 with a closing date of Friday 13th December 2024 at 5pm UK time. You must select three projects for your application.

UPDATE: 3rd February 2025: Interview candidates and reserve interview candidates have now been contacted via email. If you have not heard from us then you have unfortunately not been selected. We received over 1300 applications for approximately 40 studentships and therefore a lot of well qualified candidates will sadly not have been selected.   We will be processing formal rejections over the coming weeks but it can time a little time for your application status to change on the application portal. ​

Please note that due to the volume of applications we receive we are unable to provide individualised feedback to unsuccessful candidates.
